I’m new to “CVS-ing” – THANK YOU for posting the deals out there!! I wanted to make sure that I was reading correctly that I can use (2) coupons with the Colgate deal – so I would have (2) items and (2) coupons, (1) coupon per item, and that’s ok even though it’s a B1G1 deal? Thanks! Your blog is wonderful!

Miriam,

Yes, you can use 2 coupons on a B1G1Free sale. You are still buying 2 items even though 1 is on sale for free, so you can use 1 coupon per item. Not all stores agree with this but I do know that it is CVS store policy to accept 2 coupons on a B1G1Free sale.

HTH!!

I’ve already found your site to be very useful; and as I mentioned on Twitter, I have been recommending it there and in real life. I have found the Target and CVS posts to be especially helpful since both of these stores are located near my home. I have questions: When you reference e.g. 9/28 SS; this is the SmartSource insert from the September 28th, correct? And RP is RedPlum? How do you either know/remember that you have these coupons from several weeks ago and/or how do you keep them organized? How many copies of a Sunday paper do you recommend getting as some of these deals necessitate multiple copies of the same coupon? Thanks!

Jay,

I'm so glad my site has helped you! And I really appreciate the recommendations!

Yes, when I say 9/28 SS that means the Smartsource insert that came out on September 28th. And RP is Redplum. You can find a complete list of couponing terms & abbreviations here: http://www.couponing101.com/2008/10/couponing-terms-abbreviations.html

To organize my coupons I use a combination of a file box with folders and a binder. I'm planning on doing a post with video of my system soon. When I need to find out when a coupon was issued or if there is a coupon available for a certain product, I use the Coupon Database on HotCouponWorld.com. You just type in the name of the product you need a coupon for and it will list all the coupons currently available along with their source.

I usually recommend buying 1 newspaper for each person in your family. If you need multiple copies of a coupon you can purchase more on ebay, the coupon clippers, or Taylortown Preview for a small handling fee.
