This was probably one of my best CVS shopping trips! I went with a friend and we had a blast! Everything was in stock and the employees were very patient and helpful! I love my CVS! It was a great start to a fabulous Thanksgiving!

I noticed I didn’t get any ECBs for the 5-Hour Energy then realized I bought the wrong one. So, I returned it and got $4.99 back.

Total Cost: 20¢
Total Saved: $5.79
ECBs Earned: $3.99 5-Hour Energy

4th Transaction:
(1) Playtex Tampons $3.99

- $11.98 ECBs

Total Cost: $0
Total Saved: $14.48
ECBs Earned: $11.99

Total Cost: $1.39 – $4.99 refund = – $3.60
Total Saved: $144.35
ECBs Left to Use: $50.39

Net Cost: $20.64 profit!

So, they paid me $20 to take home $144 worth of products!

* The Playtex limit is actually 2 even though the ad says limit 1.
* The Schick Quattro limit is actually 2 even though the ad says limit 1.
* The Maybelline ECBs did not print for my friend and the cashier had to print them manually. So, check your receipt to make sure you got the ECBs.

    Thank you for such a helpful site. I’ve been using coupons since I became married about 2 years ago but without much savings. I appreciate you sharing your tips. I have a question…Is the reason you separate transactions in order to collect the ECB’s and use them towards the next transaction at CVS? What is the reasoning for splitting the transaction at a store like Kroger?

    Yes, I split the orders so I can use the ECBs on the next transaction which means a lower OOP.

    At Kroger I split transactions because they only triple 3 of each like coupon per transaction.
