    RE Starbucks Ice Cream

The only Q in the 6/21 SS is the $2 off…the other one ($1 off) is not for ice cream….FYI

I had multiple problems at my Walgreens this week. According to the manager they have once again changed the policy for Register Rewards. When mine didn’t print on the Soft& Dry deodorant she said it was because I used a Q. She also said that another didn’t print because my total was less than the RR was. If it’s true they are no longer giving RR if you use a Q it’s a sad sad day in the savings world.Of course, the managers often don’t even know the corporate policies.

    Chesh,

They are just misinformed. If your RR didn’t print, you either bought the wrong item, or the machine was not working. If the employees don’t know how the program works they will give you any explanation they can come up with. I suggest going at a different time or going to another Walgreens.

You can, of course, still use coupons and earn a reward. The only exception to this is if you used a reward from a previous soft & dry purchase to buy another soft & dry. If you do this, the reward you use will cancel out the reward you should earn. Manufacturers coupons though, have no effect on whether the rewards will print.

Stephanie is right…I have even used RRs to pay for items to get more RRs. The checker is usually surprised when they print! They think RRs won’t print if you use RRs or if you use a RR of the same amount, or whatever they can dream up! I have learned it will not print if RR is from the same COMPANY – so watch rolling them from week to week also that you don’t use, say a Colgate RR from toothpaste last week to try to earn another Colgate RR from a toothbrush this week. Watch for rolling deals from Dial Corp (not just soaps!) and GSK as well.

I like the spell check feature built in to your comment section!! It doesn’t know what RRs are, though! :)

    Stephanie,
I too had a problem with the deodorant and was told something similar to Chesh and I used $2 off coupon and didn’t get my RR. I didn’t want to argue and I just walked out. Before this though I did go through someone else that had their machine not working. It’s horrible because you never know if their RR machine is working and that might also be the problem.
