do you ever have problems with Safeway not accepting coupons to make items free? i recently went major grocery shopping and the cashier gave me a hard time on a few item even though i bought the requirements for all the coupons i had. I looked at there coupon policy and it said they wont accept coupons to make things free or less than 50% of the price… but other cashiers have let me use my coupons as long as they scanned in. any thought?

I have never had a problem with Tom Thumb (Safeway affiliate) accepting coupons of any value. I suggest checking out in a different lane next time or asking the store manager if they always abide by the policy.
