doesn’t the .50/roll toilet paper and the 2/$1 coupon mean exactly the same thing? this doesn’t make the tp free – it means it’s .50/roll or two for $1?

I bought the TP and it rang up at .50 each (the cashier wouldn’t scan the in-ad coupon). That was at a very un-coupon friendly WAGS that I use only occasionally.
Does the in-ad coupon take off a dollar??
I found the ghiaradelli but didn’t get a .75/2 catalina so I only bought the two.

Nikkie, Tish, and Nancy,
Apparently, the toilet paper IS ringing up at 50¢ in some places, but the in-ad coupon (which supposedly takes off $1) is beeping. Some stores are manually taking off the $1, some stores won’t. I have marked this deal as “dead” since there are so many problems with it. Sorry for the confusion.
