Walgreen’s $5 off $25 Coupon + Money-Maker Scenario!

As if the Walgreens deals this week weren’t already awesome, Walgreen’s released a $5/$25 coupon that is good Tuesday (9/29) and Wednesday (9/30) ONLY!  The fine print states that the $25 must be after ALL Walgreens and manufacturer’s coupons (though not all stores will enforce it – check with the store manager).

Here is a scenario you can use to make a profit this week:

(3) Theraflu $4 ea.*
(1) Dentek Picks $2
(1) Oral-B Advantage 123 Toothbrush $3
(1) Herbal Essences Hair Care $2.99
(1) Vaseline Sheer Infusion Lotion $6.99
(1) Gillette Fusion MVP Razor $8.99
(1) Halls Refresh Sugar Free Drops $1
(1) Chapstick Fresh Effects $2.99
= $39.96
- $2/1 Walgreens Q (Healthy Savings Book) *Will take off $6
- $1/1 Dentek Printable Coupon
- 75¢/1 Oral-B Q (9/27 P&G)
- $1/1 Herbal Essences Q (8/23 or 9/13 RP)
- $1.50/1 Vaseline Printable Coupon HERE or HERE
- $4/1 Gillette Q (9/27 P&G)
- 50¢/1 Hall’s Q (All You Mag October Issue)
= $25.21
- $5/$25 Coupon
= $20.21 + tax

EARN:
$8 Theraflu Reward*
$2 Dentek Reward
$3 Oral B Reward
$2 Herbal Essences Reward
$7 Vaseline Reward
$6 Gillette Reward
$1 Hall’s Reward
$3 Chapstick Reward
= $32 in Register Rewards

It’s like getting all that for FREE + $11.79 profit!

You can see all of this week’s deals HERE.

*I also wanted to point out that the Theraflu deal this week is better than expected.  The ad states that when you buy 2 select Theraflu at $4 each, you will earn a $4 Register Reward.  However, if you buy three Theraflu, you will get an $8 RR, which is MUCH better!  The $2 printable is no longer available, but if you have the $2/1 coupon from the Healthy Savings booklet (which takes off $2 for EACH one you purchase) then it is a moneymaker!

(3) Theraflu $4 ea.
- $2/1 Walgreens Q (Healthy Savings Book) *Will take off $6
= $6
Earn $8 RR
= Free + $2 Profit!

Do you happen to know which Theraflu products the coupon should work on? The Walgreens I was at was out of several of the RR generating Theraflu, so I tried the sugar-free packets, and the coupon didn’t work. According to the assistant manager it was because they’re already on sale, but that didn’t make sense to me, given the information you have here.

Thanks so much for the work you put into this! I’ve been doing the ‘Walgreens couponing game’ for about three weeks now, and your site has made it very easy for me to get started.

Raquel,

Are you talking about the Register Reward or the Healthy Savings coupon? If you are talking about the coupon, it should work on any of the varieties listed on the coupon, regardless of sale.

If you are talking about the Register Reward, you can look in the flyer to see that there are several varieties included. I only bought the liquid and they worked fine. It might be the sugar-free variety is not included.

I was talking about the Healthy Savings coupon, sorry for the lack of clarity. :-) There wasn’t a lot of detail on the coupon, but I’ll guess it just works on the two kinds pictured then. Thanks for your help!

Raquel,

Since it just says $2 off Theraflu, that means you can use it on ANY Theraflu. I used it on the liquids and it worked perfectly.
