I set up a facebook group called,
“Commit to one operation Christmas Child Shoe Box 2010.” I made it specific to our area here in California and have been recruiting this way. Right now it is only a membership of 20 BUT God will grow it. Go to the site if you are on facebook and see how I’m targeting it. Basically I post “finds” throughout the year and send members e-mails on finds. I encourage prayer and just keep it up front for members on a monthly basis. Don’t want to spam people. Come check it out. You can join if you want to just see how I’m doing it so you can do your own. I wouldn’t be offended if you leave after setting up your own. God Bless the little children

Our church asked a shoe store if we could set up outside their doors over the weekend. They said yes, after people bought shoes, we asked for the empty box. we gave away candy and bumper stickers. collected 100 boxes in 4 hrs the first day!!! Good luck!

Hi! I’m having a problem here with not enough boxes! I need 200 more. HELP where can I buy cheap boxes, or get them for free. Thanks. We’re in CA and we love Operation Christmas Child. I’ve been packing loads for 13 years or however long it has been around. God BLess Marion

Love this post! I am in charge of an Operation Christmas Child relay center in Charleston, SC. We are trying to get the word out to as many people as we can. There are still sooo many children who have to go w/out a box. We would like to encourage all to sacrifice this year and make more boxes
