  1. Tuesday was my 1st CVS shopping “adventure”. It was AWESOME! I got 12 body washes (Suave), 2 Irish Spring body washes, 6 Revlon polishes (they accepted the $2 coupon), 6 jars of Ragu, 4 caramel chewy things, king sized reese cup, and a 5ct of Zyrtec for $21.15. The retail value was about $109 before sales, coupons, and ECB’s. I was so happy!!! 🙂 I love this site!!!!

  2. Two days ago I bought 2 of the Revlon nail polishes at my local CVS. I used (2) 2.00 off Revlon coupons and had no problems. It printed off $8.00 in ECB and I only paid 5.98.

  3. Okay – So I made my first “trip” to CVS yesterday – they were out of Suave, but I will call them later today to be sure it’s back in stock before I go again. LOL

I fiddled around with a new site, it seems that there aren’t a lot of “correct websites” in my area for pricing, ads, coupons, match-ups, etc..

Hope y’all like it – I’m in Arlington, TX 76016 – check out the link, let me know what you think so far. I’m working on one more trip for tomorrow – which I will post later today or this evening.

  4. I tried 2 stores an could not use my 2$ off Revlon. I was told by both stores nail products are not cosmetic items. I still bought 3 !! West Covina Ca.

  5. I am new to CVS, and couponing in general! I think I have the general idea when it comes to CVS but my question is if you earn the ECB on one purchase can you use those on another purchase in the same day? EX: If I split my order into two orders, I received a $3 ECB on first order can I use the $3 ECB on the second order? or do I have to wait a certain amount of time before I can use them?
Also am I correct in thinking that if I have collected lets say $3,$5,$5 in ECB on different transactions I can use them all at once to save $13 or do they have to be used separately?
Sorry for all the questions and thanks for the help!!

    • @Ciara,

Hi Ciara! When I went for my first time yesterday, I did my first transaction, got my $0.99 ECB. Then did my 2nd transaction, and used the $0.99 ECB. I told my checker first, that I would be doing 2 transactions and she was fine with it. 🙂 As for the multiples, I think we can from what I’ve read so far. I’m going to try it myself soon!

    • @Ciara, CVS is GREAT about using ECBs! You can use as many as you have (though you won’t get cash back, so don’t spend a $5 ECB on a $3 purchase!). You can also use them right away. Many many times they have given me my receipt and I’ve torn the ECBs off right then and used them on some other items I’m buying.

  6. This is only my second week couponing. I am about to try out CVS for the first time (I’ve never used ECB’s before). If I did the calculations right, I should get about $32 of product for about $17 before taxes. So I think its like a 46% savings. Not great but hopefully I’ll get better.
I also found a coupon that I have for the Ragu ($1/2) which is a better deal than the $1.25/3. Mine comes to about $0.67 per jar after ECB’s. Wish me luck on my first CVS trip!! YIKES!

  7. Hi! Do some stores have the right to refuse coupons if a coupon could zero out an item or more? Why I ask is because I went into a family dollar store last week with two recent cover girl coupons…

$1.00 off one covergirl product &
    $2.50 off two covergirl products

I wanted to purchase two $1 tweezers in there and use the $2.50 coupon to pay for it and have it take an extra -0.50 off the ticket. The cashier lady told me they couldn’t except it because it was against the family dollar policy. I was bummed because the coupon said $2.50 off ANY two covergirl products which I obviously had. Do some stores really have policies about using coupons that could make an item free or were the ladies not doing their job because they don’t know that it’s within the rules?

  8. Anyone have luck with the $2/1 Revlon Color Cosmetics Coupon? My CVS scanned it and it wouldn’t work for the nail polish. I’m bummed, was excited about that one!

    Reply

    • @Anne, I’ve always had the “generic” Revlon coupons beep on nail polish, but my CVS usually just manually overrides them, since it says on the coupon “off any Revlon color product”.

      • @Jennifer, Really? Well maybe I will just try another CVS then. The guy behind the counter said that management wouldn’t allow coupons that the register doesn’t recognize. Thanks for the reply!

  9. my 5/22 red plum did not have any of the suave, vaseline or axe coupons. I’m new to this and I checked out the Red plum and smart source previews last night and this morning I rushed out and bought 4 of my local paper. I live in the SF Bay area and I’m starting to feel discouraged because there are no stores in my area that double coupons and it doesn’t seem like we get the same coupons as other areas…HELP!!

    Reply

    • @tamika, Sometimes the sales and the coupons are different in different regions of the country. You might try to find a blogger who posts coupon matchups specific to your area (just google “coupon matchups San Francisco Bay”)

      Reply

      • @Jennifer, thank you. I tried that and the same coupons are listed. I am thinking that maybe they are missing because I don’t subscribe to the paper maybe some coupons are left out of the ones on the stands or maybe some extreme coupons took them out as they are just on a stand rather than in a machine IDK…

      • @Jennifer,
They are not only different in different regions but different in the same town, I bought 4 papers two weeks ago because the coupons were so great and most of the coupons I got only two of instead of 4..Our paper is so screwy sometimes, Not sure if it’s the “stuffers” that work at the paper or someone taking them out once the papers arrive at the store!

    • @tamika,
Hello Tamika, My name is Tammy and I live in South Carolina maybe we could trade coupons my mail because all that u don’t get i do and i know u probably get ones I don’t get. This won’t work this week but in couple of weeks it will or maybe u could get a rain check until the ones i have arrive. What do you think?

    • @tamika,
I am new to this too, but in the area I live if I b y the local paper there are not as many coupons in it. If I biy the “big” city paper than there are more coupos in there. 10. I am very new to couponing and learning the tricks of each store. I have a question about the Revlon Nail Polish.
    Scenario:
    (1) Revlon Nail $4.99
    – (1) $2/1 Revlon Color Cosmetic Product Coupon (5/8 SS)
    = $2.99, Earn $4 in ECBs
    = Free + $1 Profit

My question is since the limit is 6, can I purchase 6 bottles in one transaction ans earn the $4 ECBs 6 times, for $24 ECB’s? I hope this makes sense! If not, is there a way to get the bucks 6 times? Thanks!

    Reply

    • @Tammy Shelley, No, unfortunately it won’t. It’s linked to your CVS card, so it will only give you the $4. You have to scan a CVS card for the sale to go through, and if you use the corporate card it won’t print out any coupons at all!!

If you’re a regular shopper at CVS I would definitely recommend getting the Green Tag. If you go to a kiosk you should get a coupon for a free one. If not they are only a dollar, and within four shopping trips it pays for itself. For every fourth trip you get a $1 coupon. The expiration dates are usually far out and I can save up 4-5 of them to use on one product.

      • @Lisa Fenn,
I just got the 24$ back and the 2$ off coupon worked for me. I did it in 3 seperate purchases so my oop was less.
        1. 1 nail polish with the 2$ Q
        2. 2 nail polishes with the 2$ q’s and the 4$ ECB making the purchase .99
        3. 3 nail polishes with the 2$ q’s and the 8$ECB’s making the purchase like 1.98 and now i have 12$ in ECB’s for the next time I go to CVS.

        Reply

    • @Tammy Shelley, I think if the limit is 6 you should be able to get the ECBs 6 times, even if they’re in the same transaction. I can’t remember if I have ever actually tried it myself, though. It is linked to your CVS card, like Lisa said, so you can only get the reward six times, since that’s the limit. Maybe try getting two at one time and if the ECBs for both print. You can always return the second one if it doesn’t work. This is a good question; let us know what happens!

  11. There is a $3 off Healthcare purchase printing at the CVS scanner this week. If you can get it today (Saturday) it won’t expire until tomorrow. It can be used on the Therma Care deal, turning it into a money maker! You will have to print it today though.
