  1. the ony advertised prices that they honor of their own are the ones in their weekly printed ad.. Anything on wal-mart.com is usually not honored in the store.

  2. I am an wal-mart employee. wal-mart will price match other stores but not their own. By price matching wal-mart to wal-mart would put them in “competition” with themselves. Items in the store are priced according to the geographical location of the sore for example if you live in a wealthy neighborhood items in your local wal-mart will be priced a bit higher than if you lived else where.

  3. Empress,

Walmart can be difficult sometimes. You can clearly see it advertised for $2 on Walmart’s website by visiting the link above. I still don’t understand why they are having such a hard time honoring their own prices.

  4. I went in to Walmart today and saw it was $3.17, and spoke to dept manager whop said it was never at 2 bucks, and in fact, they just raised it today from 2.68 to 3.17.
So either your info is wrong, or Walmart doesn’t know what they are doing.
    I walked out !!!

  5. I went to Walmart this morning and it said the Honey Bunches of Oats were rolled back to $2.50, so it would still have cost me .50. I didn’t get it. It was marked as a Rollback, but I don’t know what the regular price is.

  6. I went last night to my own Wal-Mart and took the printed page from the web site just in case. The shelf was marked regular price so I went to the customer service counter and after a very long wait they told me they didn’t price match the web site. I said, “But it the ad says ‘IN STORES’.” She said, “Well, we’re not supposed to do it.”

So I stood there for a few seconds trying to decide if I should ask for a manager or just let it go or whatever and I guess she couldn’t stand me just staring at her and not saying anything. She finally said, “Okay, we’ll do it this time.”

Personally, I think if they advertise that the price is that way in the stores they need to honor it.

  7. My Walmart had the Zantac for $3.97 – when I tried to use the $5 q, of course, it beeped. When I asked them to just price adjust it down, they said they couldn’t. Do you know Walmart’s coupon policy for overage? Is it written anywhere. Thanks for your website – love it!

  8. My Penny Pile,

That is odd that they won’t even honor their own sales prices. Can you print the page and bring it in? They price match other stores, they can price match their own, right?

  9. In East Texas these are still regular price. Even though it’s a rollback advertised on the walmart.com site. I contacted Walmart customer service and they said too bad “Walmarts have different prices” regardless of the advertisement.
