Walmart Savings Catcher Price-Matching App

We know Walmart has everyday low prices, but did you know there’s a way to save even more at Walmart… WITHOUT clipping coupons?! Say hello to the Walmart Savings Catcher Price-Matching App!

If you’re familiar with this app, you may have used it when you could scan in a paper receipt from a recent purchase. Unfortunately, they have disabled that feature. The only way to use the Savings Catcher now is to pay with Walmart Pay (in the Walmart App) at checkout. Read on for a step-by-step guide!

Walmart Savings Catcher Price-Matching App

It’s very easy to use; here’s how it works:

  1. Download the Walmart App. Download the Walmart App on your phone and log in using your existing Walmart.com account or set it up for free using your email address.
  2. Set up Walmart Pay. Once you’re logged in on the Walmart App, tap on “Services” and set up Walmart Pay. This will require you to enter a payment method that will be used to pay for future in-store purchases.
  3. Use Walmart Pay to check out in-store. On your next trip to Walmart, open your Walmart App at checkout and scan the Walmart Pay QR code at the register. This will generate an e-receipt tied to your account for that purchase.
  4. Walmart compares prices. Savings Catcher will scan circulars from stores in your area for advertised deals that match the eligible items on your receipt.
  5. You get the difference. If Savings Catcher finds a lower advertised price, you get the difference in the form of a Walmart eGift Card. These credits can be used on your next in-store purchase using Walmart Pay or online at Walmart.com!

Savings Catcher only applies to in-store purchases and there are some exclusions, such as percentage off discounts and bogo offers. Be sure to read the FAQs if you’re unsure about how your savings added up!

    • Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that. They discontinued the feature where you can scan a receipt in after the purchase, but have you tried using the updated Walmart Pay option in the app?
