@Dee, Thanks so much! This will make my 5 bottles of Aveeno free!! I had a few ECB saved and was able to get about $90 worth of stuff for $12 out of pocket!! So after the rebate and counting the $11 ECB I got back, I will have made money!! it was a GREAT CVS trip!
As long as there is only one coupon per item, the register doesn't have a problem with it. I don't know what gets into people sometimes. I guess they just don't quite understand that the companies WANT you to have it for free...that is why they have BOGOF sales and FREE product coupons. I would do what was suggested - get the policy and return the Stayfree (unless you NEED them right away ;) )
My CVS took them today just fine. In fact, I told HER how to do it. I said, just ring all 4 of them, then use the coupon and deduct 3.99 which is what they cost. Do that twice. She was amazed. This was the same for the M&Ms BOGO as well.

I tried this at my CVS today, and the manager gave me a bunch of grief over it and would only make the coupon for 1/2 value. She basically told me I couldn't get them for nothing. I tried to tell her the store would still get reimbursed for the full face value, but she wasn't buying it. Have you had this happen to you? I've been half tempted to go back in today and return the pads.
@Kristen, You definitely should have been able to use the coupon as stated in the scenario. I would email CVS customer service and ask for their policy on that issue and print and take their response with you to CVS and return the Stayfree.

I had the same problem at the 2nd CVS store, the cashier called the mgr on duty saying he couldn't accept a b1g1 on cvs b1g1; she said the register wouldn't allow her to do that so I politely said, "What's the # to customer care?" and started dialing it, then she said "wait, let me try to ring them up two at a time", she then rang them up separately in two's and they went thru ok (price was 3.79). This is usually a q friendly store but there's something that gets in their head when they think you're getting something for free. I said, "I'm not getting it for free, this q is worth 3.79 to cvs, this is simply another form of payment", geesh!
