Many of you seemed to like this last week, so I figured I would do it again!
This is a really great week to start couponing….even if you don’t have any coupons!
I know I have a lot of you are new to my site and couponing and that you may not have accumulated many coupons yet. I’m going to show you how to get some great deals at Walgreens and CVS without needing any coupons to start!
I know it may be intimidating to do several transactions at once, but doing several transactions will result in you paying less. Don’t worry! If there are other people waiting in line just move to the back of the line after each transaction. This will give you time to go over your receipt and make sure everything rang up correctly.
CVS has Edge Shaving Gel and Bayer Aspirin Free After Extra Bucks.
First you need to go into CVS and sign up for an Extra Care Card. Then pick up the weekly sale flier at the front of the store and locate the Free Edge offer on the back page and the Free Bayer offer on the eighteenth page so you can see what you need to look for. Then pick out (1) Edge Infused Comfort or Hydrate Shave Gel and (1) Bayer Aspirin Quick Release Crystals 4ct.
The cashier should ask for your Extra Care Card before scanning any of your items. You need to use your own card to get the ECBs (Extra Care Bucks – CVS Money).
1st Transaction
(1) Bayer Aspirin $2
Pay: $2 + tax
ECB for $2 will print at the bottom of your receipt. Tear or cut it off.
2nd Transaction
(1) Edge Shave Gel $2.89
Give the cashier the $2 ECB you just tore off your receipt from the 1st transaction
Pay: 89¢ + tax
ECB for $2.89 will print at the bottom of your receipt. Tear or cut it off and save it for next week!
So, for just $2.89 + tax you now have 1 Shave Gel and 1 Aspirin and $2.89 ECBs to use later! Keep your ECBs in your wallet or an envelope in your purse so you don’t lose them – they are just as good as money at CVS!

A coupon called a Register Reward will print out after you pay (be patient!) for $2 off your next purchase of anything (except the chapstick!).
2nd Transaction
(1) Edge or Skintimate $2.99
Give the cashier the $2 Register Reward you earned from the 1st transaction
Pay: 99¢ + tax
Earn a $3 Register Reward
So, for just $2.98 + tax you now have 1 Lip Balm, 1 Shave Gel, and $3 Register Rewards to use later! Keep your Rewards in your wallet or an envelope in your purse so you don’t lose them – they are just as good as money at Walgreens! Don’t forget about them because they will expire in 2 weeks. If you are afraid of forgetting about them you can go ahead and use them now to buy something you need like toilet paper or paper towels.

She was wrong. The cashiers tell me that frequently because they don't understand how the machine works. If you were to buy the shavegel with a shave gel RR then a new one won't print out. The shave gel RR you are using will cancel out the coming RR because it is the SAME offer. BUT if you do 2 different offers- use a chapstick RR on the shave gel - then your RR WILL print.
Whenever they tell me that I just say "that's okay, I'll try it anyway" and then they are amazed when it does print out, lol.

They won't let you use the $3 RR to pay for a $1.99 item. You will have to buy something that is $1.01 or more to cover the overage.
If I use the $3 RR to pay for the chapstick do I lose the extra $1RR or is it returned to me some how?
i went to walgreens yesterday to do the chapstick + shave gel combo you recommended. however, the lady there told me that if i used the $2 RR to pay for the shavegel, i wouldn't get a $3 RR back.
so i'm confused, did she give me false information?

I look forward to your findings and benefit from them often. I have stocked up on these "free" items and are using them for gifts: birthdays, baby showers, heres a surprise cus i love you... I have been able to make a lot of people feel special and not have to spend much money. I love it. :)

You can use the $3 you received to buy the chapstick and anything else that can bring the subtotal to at least $3 and then you can get another $2 to use to purchase another shaving cream and keep it going this way.

You can but you will not receive another register reward. Using the shave gel reward would cancel out the shave gel reward you should be earning.
