Daily Frugal Tip: Save Leftover Vegetables for Soup

Do you have a small amount of vegetables left at the end of your meal? Instead of throwing them out, store them in a freezer container in the freezer. Continue adding to them and when you have a full container, use them to make a soup or stew!

  • I also like to use leftover veggies in spaghetti sauce. It adds some nice flavors and allows you to use less meat, while retaining a really nice "chunk" to the sauce. Economical and delicious!
