Free National Park Access for Fourth Graders

Calling all fourth graders! Has your child ever wanted to go whale watching or bike through a forest? If you have a child that is a fourth grader then this is an amazing opportunity for them!

Every Kid Outdoors is a government organization created so fourth graders and their families could discover wildlife, natural resources, and history for free. All you have to do is go to the Every Kid Outdoors website, get your pass (there are separate passes for fourth graders, parents, and educators), plan your trip, hit the road!

The following agencies support the Every Kid Outdoors organization.

  1. U.S. Bureau of Land Managements
  2. U.S. Bureau of Reclamation
  3. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
  4. National Park Service
  5. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
  6. U.S. Forest Service
  7. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

You can learn more about what they do and their activities by visiting their individual websites.

Passes must be printed as electronic passes are not accepted. Your pass has a unique code just for you, so you be sure to print the original and not make a copy for anyone else to use. Pass holder must be present at the time of use and are non-transferable. Family and Friends can join the fourth grader for free and educators can print multiple passes out for their class to attend.

Passes are free of charge and covers entrance or standard amenity fees. Some private businesses manage some of the facilities and may not honor these passes so please check with any private organization before going. Passes are valid from September 1st through August 31st of your entire fourth grade year.

Some of the amazing places you can visit include, but are not limited to: Land Between the Lakes, Channel Islands, the St. Louis Arch, San Antonio Missions, the Frederick Douglass home, Canyon of the Ancients, and the Florida Keys.

Now for the hardest decision, where are you going to go?!
