You may have already heard by now that Sonic is offering half-price shakes after 8 pm all summer long. No coupon is necessary – you don’t even have to mention the deal!
Sonic provided me with a gift card so our family could try some of their new shake flavors. Our children were VERY excited about our “late-night” ice cream outing!
I tried the Banana Cream Pie shake. My husband ordered the Chocolate Cream Pie shake but he thinks he got the Coconut Cream Pie shake by mistake. My son tried the Oreo Cheesecake shake, and my daughter tried the Hot Fudge shake.
I couldn’t convince any of them to try the Peanut Butter and Bacon shake or the Peanut Butter and Jelly shake! Maybe next time. 😉
I had a hard time choosing between the Banana Cream Pie shake and the Chocolate-Covered Strawberry shake, but in the end, banana cream pie won.
I loved it, too! I was surprised to find real chunks of banana in there! YUM!
It was a fun little treat for us and it only cost about $6 for 4 small shakes! It was definitely worth waiting for them to be half-off!
Sonic will have all of their shakes half off after 8 pm through the end of summer, so there’s still plenty of time to try some of their 25 unique flavors! If you try the peanut butter and bacon flavor, you HAVE to tell me!

I work at sonic & all of the cream pie shakes have coconut flavoring in them. You can ask to take the coconut flavoring out though. Then it would leave just the flavor and graham crackers!!
