The buy online, pick up in-store program has worked really well for me because it keeps me from perusing the store and buying things I don’t need, while also saving me money on shipping costs.
I’m stubborn when it comes to paying for shipping, so I’ll always add things to my cart until I meet the free shipping requirement. Only problem is, I end up buying things I probably don’t need.
So buying just the items I need online and then picking them up (for free) in store has been a great happy medium!

If you manage to spend exactly $50, that’s about a 40% discount, which as you’ll see below, is usually reserved for one-item-only coupons. On deals like this, even if you spend $100, the discount will still only be $20.
The best way to take advantage of this deal would be to divvy up your purchase into $50 transactions so that you get $20 off every $50 spent. However, most cashiers will not allow you to ring up in $50 increments like this, so you may have to get a little sneaky. You can spread your purchase out across separate visits, or have a friend/family member/etc. help you ring up separate transactions.

It’s always kind of a bummer when you can only use a coupon like this on one item, but that just means you have to find an item where it will really count! 40% off is a better discount than you’ll find on most of Michael’s coupons, so be sure to use it on something high in value to get the biggest bang for your buck, er, coupon.
This is the type of coupon I would use on something like a Cricut or a nice storage tower. Basically something that costs more than I’d normally be willing to spend, but something that I really want. #treatyourself
