Super Savings Saturday – 82% Savings at Kroger and CVS!

Total Cost for all of the above items without sales or coupons: $224.08…..
….I spent: $39.33!

My friend Rachel, from Surviving the Stores, and I went on a late night run to CVS and Kroger. Our combined twelve transactions did not even phase the cashiers at Kroger!

Kroger is having their Mega Savings Event right now with some really great deals! So, even though I went last week, I just had to go again! All the Green Giant Veggies were FREE….I can’t pass up free vegetables!

I also made a last minute run to CVS to pick up the Free Gillette Razors that did not arrive in stores until Friday. I was quite surprised to find they had any stock! I also picked up some chips for our superbowl party on Sunday and two more Maalox to finish up the deal. I spent only $1.76 oop there!

All in all, it was a fun trip!

See how my shopping buddy did on her trip here! Together we saved over $300!

**After re-reading my post this morning I realized I had my totals wrong. I accidently put the savings amount as the original total. So, I actually saved 82% instead of 78%! My math skills are not the best at 2 in the morning! All totals should be correct now!

  • I've heard Kroger's marked down meat is great but I can't ever get to the store early enough to find a good selection!

  • So, the best thing about my Kroger is the marked down bin by the door, closeout deal pricing and the marked down meat section. Sometimes you can get some great deals if you spend a little time with your q's!

    Congrats on your trip!

  • I wish we had a Kroger here! It's great to see how much money can be saved when you just take the time to browse, clip coupons and shop around.

  • Good Job Stephanie! Our Kroger doesn't do the $.35 triples but I was able to pick up a few of your other deals! Thanks

  • Wow! So I knew how to use coupons and sales and thought I was doing our family some good but there are several of you out there that have a lesson or two to teach me :) I can't believe you friend's shopping trip @ CVS either! Fabulous and inspirational! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with the rest of us.
