  • Hi, I just have to say that I am very disappointed with my local Target. I went in and was purchasing the tape for $0.60 and the papermate pens for $1 . I bought two of each item and had a coupon for each item. When I was checking out all of my items (including pens and tape) a few of my coupons would not scan, and then was told that I am only able to use one Target coupon per transaction! So, the cashier tells me that she can only apply ONE of my papermate target coupons to ONE of the packages that I was purchasing and ONE of my scotch tape target coupons to ONE of my rolls of tape! When I told her that that just could not be true, and that I come to Target ALL the time and have always been able to use a coupon on each ITEM I purchase she explains to me that this is because the coupon states that "only one coupon per transaction". I promptly let HER know that every coupon says something to the same effect, and all it means is that there can only be one coupon per ITEM purchased!!! She then called over the manager who lets me know that it states this in the Target Coupon Policy, which I know either has to be a BRAND new stipulation or not there at all because I have read (and recently at that) their coupon policy. The manager tells me it isn't a new rule its just not something that they had payed any attention to before and are now enforcing! I then had her void off my extra items to be scanned in another transaction and let her know that I did not have time right then but that I would be back with my own copy of the policy to go over with HER manager. I found this to be so ridiculous and very disappointing, I LOVE TARGET and will continue shopping with my coupons and WILL do as many separate transactions are necessary!! I am looking now to found who I can speak with to complain about the ridiculous "new enforcement" of made up policies!

  • I cant find the BIC pens and highlighters coupons on the site. What zip code is working for them? Its a great deal and I dont want to miss out =) Thanks!

  • I picked up on this too. The cashier didn't want to let me use the "get one free" coupon. I asked her why - I was buying two, so what I was using coupons on them both. She was like fine but it doesn't work that way. Really, cause I think it just did. All that said, could she be right? I do want to be honest.

    • Erin,
It does work. I’m not sure what the cashier was referring to other than just not wanting to give away free stuff. Some cashiers do not think it is fair to get free stuff.

You are allowed to use one Target Coupon and one Manufacture Coupon per item. The $1.50/1 applies to the juices and the Free/WYB2 applies to the Tea. The $1/2 Target coupon is just an awesome bonus! There are no rules being broken.

My wife and I went to Target last night and picked up 10 bottles of juice and 5 bottles of tea with no problems. Don’t worry, we didn’t clear the shelfs, there were plenty left. :) We bought a whole cart load of stuff and ended up saving over $70 using coupons!
      -Curtis-

  • Just came back from an awesome Target shopping trip....almost all of the Dove Men Care stuff is clearance at about 50 % off the cost. Total money makers!

  • Maybe my Target was the only one that didn't have Scotch tape for .50c --- mine was .60c and I even double checked the ad. :( 10 cent tape is still a good deal though but not as good as free!

And I totally "shop" the cashiers. This last time I went to a college-aged guy lane (which was in the opposite direction of where I parked!) and he was so nice about my stack of coupons -- even the ones that printed weird! Sounds horrible, but it works!

  • If you take the Target ad to walmart for the scotch tape, they will price match it for the 0.50 and then use your $1 off roll of scotch magic tape coupons for a great overage (since Walmart allows the overage). I went today and only spent 0.21! =) =)

  • I agree with Sara, I went to Target today, it was a huge hassel at the register. the cashier wouldn't accept the tums coupon (the target one) for the 3 pack of tums. she said I had to get the bottle of tums. target did not have scotch tape anywhere in the store for .50¢, she argued with me about the floss not being a 30 count pack. (duh.. it's on a roll!!) read the coupon lady, it says either one!! I was sooo mad when I left that store, but happy at the same time because I only spent .77¢ :) why do people have to be so rude!?

  • My last 2 trips to Target were a huge hassel at the check out. One cashier litterally handed a stack of coupons back to me and said "these wouldn't take" today. After asking her to call her manager over, each and every one of them took.

I feel a Target coupon policy revamping coming on in the not too distant future.

    • I have had this happen before. I found that if I hand them the manufacturers coupons first and then the Target ones, the computer will take them without having to override and enter the amounts themselves.
