Looking for something fun and free to do with your kids this weekend? Look no further than your local Home Depot! The hardware store may not be first to mind when thinking of places to take the kids, but on the first Saturday of every month, Home Depot hosts free Kids Workshops!
These workshops teach parents and children alike how to work with tools to build fun projects, mixing skill-building, creativity and safety for future DIYers.
Every month the workshop features a different project that the kids are able to take home to cherish for a lifetime. In addition to the completed project, they will get to take home:
The next workshop on the agenda is the Binoculars Workshop. This event runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 7. Children can craft their own pair of binoculars and take them home.
Note: all Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times. This is time for you to spend together!
To register, visit Home Depot’s workshops page right here and select your store’s location. Then, scroll down to the event and click the orange “register” bar to sign up. You’ll also find more advanced DIY workshops suited for adults on this page.
