Tomorrow! Home Depot Free Kids Workshops

Looking for something fun and free to do with your kids this weekend? Look no further than your local Home Depot! The hardware store may not be first to mind when thinking of places to take the kids, but on the first Saturday of every month, Home Depot hosts free Kids Workshops!

On Saturday, October 5th, kids and their adult helpers can save the day during Fire & Safety Month by making a fire plane! Together they can learn to use a screwdriver to connect everything needed to become airborne. They’ll attach the wings and landing gear, adjust the tail fin, decorate the propellers with stickers and be ready to fly!

These workshops teach parents and children alike how to work with tools to build fun projects, mixing skill-building, creativity and safety for future DIYers.

Every month the workshop features a different project that the kids are able to take home to cherish for a lifetime. In addition to the completed project, they will get to take home:

  • a Certificate of Achievement,
  • Home Depot Workshop Apron,
  • and a commemorative pin (while supplies last).

Note: all Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times. This is time for you to spend together!

Find out what workshops your local Home Depot is hosting right here. You’ll also find more advanced DIY workshops suited for adults on this page.
