Tomorrow! Home Depot Free Kids Workshops
Looking for something fun and free to do with your kids this weekend? Look no further than your local Home Depot! The hardware store may not be first to mind when thinking of places to take the kids, but on the first Saturday of every month, Home Depot hosts free Kids Workshops!
On Saturday, July 6th, kids and their adult helpers can save the day by making a tow truck! Together they can build a custom toy tow truck with an operational boom to rescue model vehicles from ditches and embankments, move disabled vehicles or simply put the model on display. Once wrecker construction is complete, children can customize it with paint and stickers.
These workshops teach parents and children alike how to work with tools to build fun projects, mixing skill-building, creativity and safety for future DIYers.
Every month the workshop features a different project that the kids are able to take home to cherish for a lifetime. In addition to the completed project, they will get to take home:
- a Certificate of Achievement,
- Home Depot Workshop Apron,
- and a commemorative pin (while supplies last).
Note: all Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times. This is time for you to spend together!
