Wendy’s New Pick 2 for $4.99 Menu (4 Readers Win a Free Meal!)

Last week I had the opportunity to join some fellow DFW bloggers at Wendy’s to try the new Pick 2 for $4.99 menu.  The Pick 2 Menu offers your choice of a premium half salad plus one of seven select item for just $4.99!

You can pair a half salad:

  • Spicy Chicken Caesar Salad
  • Baja Salad
  • Apple Pecan Chicken Salad
  • BLT Cobb Salad

With any of these options:

  • Dasani Bottled Water
  • Small Frosty
  • Small Beverage
  • Baked Potato
  • Small Chili
  • Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger
  • Chicken Go Wrap

That is a possibility of over 28 combinations!

I decided to go with the Spicy Chicken Caesar Salad and a Sour Cream and Chives Baked Potato.  I also ordered a small sweet tea.   My total was just $7.01!  Everything was delicious!  The spicy chicken was pretty spicy (I know, shocking)!  The dressing for the salad was sooo good – I normally don’t like any dressing aside from ranch either!

Wendy’s Spicy Chicken Caesar Salad and Baked Potato

I thought the Pick 2 menu was a very good value for fast food.  I love that Wendy’s offers somewhat healthier options besides your basic burger and fries.  On hectic days when you have to run through the drive thru, it’s nice to see that there is something a little better for you than greasy fries!

Enter the Wendy’s Win Your Perfect Pair Instant Win Sweepstakes daily for a chance to win a $5 Wendy’s gift card – there are 29 winners daily!  Plus, after you enter you can print a coupon to Save $1 when you Pick 2 at Wendy’s!  The sweepstakes runs through December 31, 2010.

  1. HI,

I would pick the Baked Potato and the BLT Cobb Salad. You are so cute in that picture, by the way !

    Thanks

  2. Spicy Chicken Caesar and a Jr Bacon Cheeseburger (my fave – and only a buck!) Love Wendys – that Dave Thomas was some kind of guy.

  3. Barbara Blankenship

I would choose the apple pecan chicken salad and a baked potato, I think this is a great idea
    thanks
    Barbara

  4. The apple pecan salad sounds like a great healthy fall eat. Then I’d choose the small frosty to reward myself for eating a salad:)

  5. I’d get the apple-chicken-pecan salad and—-I love their chocolate frosty, but the chili and chicken wrap sound good, too. I guess it would depend on how I felt on the day I ordered. Wendy’s is my “go-to” place. I usually get the jr. cheeseburger deluxe without the cheese and mayo and a small chocolate frosty. Yummmm.

  6. I would totally get the Spicy Chicken Caeser Salad and the Chicken Go Wrap. I LOVE anything spicy and I like anything chicken because it’s the only meat I eat 🙂

  7. i would choose:
BLT Cobb Salad and bake potatoe

that is if we only had a WENDYs here in the town i live!!!!!!!
i do go there often on out of town trips, so that gift card would go to good use!

  8. The website gave me the combo of apple pecan salad with a dasani water, but I’d probably pick the baked potato to go with the salad. 🙂

  9. I played the Wendy’s game and took my $1 coupon and picked the Spicy Chicken Caesar Salad (the dressing was pretty darn good) with the Bacon Cheeseburger (no mustard & slap some onions on that baby). It was really good and I was full when I walked away, not stuffed – but just right.
