How to Double the Hanging Space in Your Closet for Free

I don’t know about you, but I could definitely use more closet space. If your hangers are so close together it’s difficult to pull something off of them, then you’re going to love this simple hack to double the hanging space in your closet for free!

There are plenty of pricey solutions for this problem. You can upgrade your home to include more closet space — the most pricey solution. You can do some remodeling and create more closet space. Or you can even buy fancy hangers that allow for two or three articles of clothing to hang from one hook. Or you can try a free hack using the hangers you already have and the tabs of soda or beer cans!

Simply break the tabs off your cans as you use them and save them. When you’re ready to revamp your closet, take one tab and loop the hook of a hanger through one hole. Then take a second hanger and slip the hook through the second hole of the tab. Repeat with as many tabs and hangers as you need, and now you’ve doubled your closet space for free!
